Bt has recently paid £736m to broadcast sport on TV.  They are giving their broadband customers this service free of charge so how can they ever get a return on their investment?  For me, a non BT broadband customer, I have to pay BT £15 per month to access
the service if I want to watch it through my SKY system.  The reason I am not a BT broadband customer - they can only provide me with a max speed of 0.5, little use to anyone these days.  In an attempt to improve broadband around the UK the government has
awarded BT contracts to the value of over £1.2bn.  Given we have seen no improvement to our rural broadband services does it not suggest that government has simply funded free sports tv for BT broadband customers through some form of cross subsidy and of course
upset the SKY applecart?  Does it not seem a bit odd that just after awarding all this work to BT their chairman, Ian Livingston, is appointed trade minister by DC?  It all appears like another banking fiasco where we the tax payer will be paying for all this
with no return.  Only those with their nose in the trough will see all the financial benfits. Am I the only one that thinks this stinks?
