VW California roof corrosion

If you drive a California may I suggest you check the forward edge of the roof (where it meets the windscreen) for corrosion. It's a problem recognised by VW, caused by galvanic action of 2 metals in the complex elevating powered roof.  I have an 11 plate
vehicle which was OK last autumn but now has visible corrosion on that front edge.  VW say they'll rectify under warranty and it requires removal of the whole roof.   I understand there are only 4 of their centres in the UK that are authorised to undertake
this repair, due to the skills and knowledge involved.
