Advice on a water leak req'd!!!!
Hi All - in the process of doing up a Rapido Club Pop Top 1989 caravan and she has a leak (DOH!)
I've spotted some sealant which has eroded and also a small curtain-like rubber rail which is positioned right where the seal is when the pop top is down( see image):

I think this is probably the original source of the problem because it means the seal rests on this rubber rail so that it isn't flush with the roof when the pop top is down
Of course the problem I have now is how to fix the leek. I think that by removing the rubber rail which the previous owners installed will help and I will add some outdoor silicone sealant where the broken sealant is. If you advise against this please let
me know the alternative!
I'm also considering drying the inside of the caravan where the water is coming in - hoping to dry out the damp there. I can use a fan heater over night to dry it out. Anything else I need to think about to avoid issues?
Further thoughts about this problem (and how to go about fixing it) would be much appreciated. For now I'm going to let the roof dry
