Kampa mammoth pads for steadies

I have just bought 4 of these to fit on my Bailey Arizona.  I am having difficulty getting the bolt through the holes in the steady. The fit is really tight and I find that the head of the fixing bolt will not go fully in. It catches on the outside rim of
the foot because there is no give in the vertical slot.

The only solution I can think of is to file a groove in the rim to allow the bolt to go in fully OR return the damn things and get a different set.

Has anybody had similar problems?

When we traded in our challenger for a conqueror this year we kept our corner steadies. Problem is, conqueror has heavy duty steadies and our plastic bolts were too thick. Thankfully dealer had a selection of brands and opted for the brand with thinnest
metal bolts. Can't remember make but we also bought the matching honeycomb pads for using on slopes.

Kampa web site has this on it's web page for their Mammoth pads: - Do not fit rear legs of Bailey Pursuit.

    Hope this helps

PS I am going to have to shell out and buy some new pads soon as I noticed the other day they the no name ones I inherited with the van are splitting.

Thank you for the advice. I think I will try to adapt them and if they don't work i will buy others. I think they only cost a fiver anyway.
