Hire of electric irons on CC sites

I am disappointed to note in the latest CC magazine that H & S has struck another blow to common sense by stopping the hire of irons on CC sites. We are all adults and use electric irons at home with very few accidents. Why can't we be trusted to use these
common-a-garden items safely on a caravan site? This means we have to add yet another heavy item to our payload?
