I've just removed some (very aged) decals from my work van and after trying a hot air gun and having problems I cantacted the firm who fitted the decals and they explained that a wallpaper stripper is the way to go. Its hot but damp so can't burn. Worked
a treat. Steam/heat an area and then peel. Wipe the area down with solvent to remove any excess glue.

For a smallish area, trickling boiling water over also works. Repeat several times over a minute or so.

The missing decals could make salesmen worry if you try to trade it in later and hit the price offered so personally I would live with them.

It's your 'van and you are entitled to have it any way you want.  Personally, I think the decal designers should have their daily allowance of magic mushrooms withdrawn totally.

It always amazed me that the small cars at the cheaper end of the market often got gaudy graphics applied to them (often closely resembling something a seagull with stomach ache might leave).

You never see them on cars at the 'upper' end of the market.

At least they are not as bad as Bailey graphics although It was one of the minor reasons we went for a dealer special version of the Sprite! However unless you intend keeping the van a long time I would caution against removing or changing them, resale could be difficult. I suggest signing up to swift talk and asking on there.

Why did the OP buy the caravan? Seems odds to buy something you hate.

Perhaps the colour scheme for the graphics is a nod to the past. Thought that when we saw a current model on site recently. Mrs P has a Fiat 500 that is a very good nod to the past Tongue Out

The original Fiat 500 was in the 1960's, the current version replicates it very welll, but is very much bigger. Same as the VW Beetle, Mini, Vauxhall Viva and Porsche 911 or 998 that it now is. Therefore to nod or acknowledge the past. Brings back childhood
    memories Sealed

The 1960's Sprite Major was a duo colour, of a pale green and cream/champagne colour caravan with a non flat roof profile with a 'kick' in it.

Perhaps Swift are latching onto the automotive sector fashion.
