New caravan - leaking hot water system!

After saving up for several years my wife and I finally bought a brand new caravan in December 2011. It's our pride and joy and we were really excited to be making our first trip of the year last weekend. You can't imagine how disappointed we were when we
discovered, whilst filling up the water system, several leaks; all on the hot water side. Interestingly, when hot water flowed through the system the leaks stopped but as soon as it cooled down they started again. Clearly the pipes were expanding when hot
and making a watertight seal but contracting when cold and breaking that seal. We eventually decided there was no option but to cut our weekend short.

Our "baby" is booked in for repair this week under warranty but I'm concerned last week's leakages may have caused long term damange that will lead to damp problems in the future...all through no fault of our own. When I probed the floor with a damp meter
yesterday it went off the scale so I will be asking them to dry it out thoroughly and re-checking when I pick it up.

Interestingly, the service manager at my local dealer did tell me they went through a stage where a lot of new caravans from this particular manufacturer had hot water leaks although there had been less issues over the past few months as they've now changed
their supplier for these fittings.
