BMW X1 Detachable Towball

I recently bought a '10' plate BMW X1 and had a detachable towbar fitted by Indespension. The towbar is a PCT Prestige but the problem is that the towball is too close to the bodywork of the car which makes hitching up very difficult. When hitched the caravan
towbar is virtually touching the bodywork of the car. Indespension say there is no way to adjust it but they are going to refer the problem to PCT.

Has anyone got a similar problem?
