Honda CRV Caravan warning system

Hi all, has anyone experience of a 2014 model CRV? We have never has any indication withing the car that there is a caravan on the back. There is no beeping when using the turn indicators or extra lights on the dash. When reversing, the parking proximity
sensor warning comes on. The towbar and electrics were installed when we purchased the car new, though I suspect the Honda dealer used another company to do the work. All the caravan electrics work OK when towing, even the fridge!
