Just thought I'd share this evenings events with you all.

We go away on Friday for the weekend in our 'van that we acquired only 4 weeks ago. It's been laid up for at least 6 years and took me 4 weeks of nights (after work) cleaning it and carrying out general repairs including servicing it.

The only thing left to be done was a gas safety check. I called a guy based in Worcester who came tonight and gave it a thorough check over. He found that the water heater and gas fire were in good working order but that the fridge is dangerous when running
on gas. A monoxide test in the caravan proved successful but a probe inserted into the fridges exhaust highlighted a problem.... excessive toxic fumes (corbon monoxide I think). Has anyone ever had this kind of problem before and what needed to be done to
fix it? The guy said it may well just need the fridge removing and cleaning of the flue and burner.
