This may be useful tips for someone at some point

We have a Hyundai santa fe and the washers started to be become very weak and ended up as a dribble. It looked as tho either the filter or the pipes may have blocked. To get at the pump filter entailed taking off the wheel and removing all of the wheel arch
inner panels

When some suggested this. I put hose pipe into the washer bottle and just flushed the bottle ,the amount of crud and black lumps that came out was unbelievable. I managed to get the jets to work a little so at this point emptied the washer bottle (if not
you will need to siphon ). Then once bottle empty I tipped in half a bottle of cilit bang the orange bottle (descaler and bathroom cleaner) then approx a pint of boiling water. I then waited till it cooled a bit and just pumped the washer water up till it
dribbled out of jets. I got the wife with hose pipe just wash it straight off the car just in case

Left it over night and then again hose pipe into washer bottle to rinse out as much as possible. Then emptied bottle using the washer jets agin using hose pipe on the car just incase. Instant perfect working jets again. So much so I had to drop the jets
slightly as two of them were going over the roof. It worked for me without having to remove anything.
