Fly type bugs

Hi on opening my caravan door today, lots of, what I can only describe as small fly/beetle type insects, although they didn't fly, they crawled fell out of the metal part of the frame.  Not the rubber seal.  They are not inside the caravan, they also like
the gas BBQ point but not the other lockers.  They like the door hinges also.   When brushed away they run away, They leave fly type dropping marks.  Never really noticed them before.  Has anyone else had this problem?

    I have since found out that they are cluster flies....luckily they are not in the caravan.  Apparently they are attracted by pheromones left by previous flies.  They are not like normal flies and don't do any harm.  So I will place a fly killer in the caravan
    and spray the others, they are looking for somewhere warm for the winter.  Well I'm afraid they are not taking a holiday in my caravan!!
