CL Star ratings?

It’s always good to read reviews of CLs, particularly since the vast majority are favourable.  However, I have to say that despite the descriptions offered and members’ subjective reviews, there is always an element of luck involved, and there have been
a few we’ve visited and then been fairly glad to leave, for one reason or another.  For instance, overpricing, poor welcome (if any) from the owner, very long grass, dirty or outdated sanitary facilities, exaggerated claims of what constitutes ‘level’, large
areas of mud from previous occupants etc.  To be fair, most CLs meet the minimum requirements, but how often are they inspected, and should the CC consider a CL star assessment system so that a more informed choice can be made?
