Thule detachable tow bars.

Hi any one out there have a thule detachable tow bar? I have one fitted to my Freelander two, it was already fitted when I bought the car last December, and the last two times we've been out with the van I've noticed a slight bit of slogger when the tow
ball is clicked into place. I was just wondering if this was normal. My gut feeling is there should be no slogger of any kind. Any comments would be appreciated.
