Thetford flush

Anyone out there having the same problem as us with thier Thetford loo. Everytime we press the button to flush the loo the water comes out with so much force it sprays up over the side and onto the floor!! The only way to stop it happening is to barely press
the button, but this only results in inefectual flushing. I've tried contacting Thetford twice and twice they've ignored my e-mails, lousy customer relations that I think. Any Ideas anyone?
