Avtex whip aerial, svensen amplifier

We have just purchased a new elddis magnum gt 564 from pearman briggs of gloucester. We have just spent the weekend on a nearby site to pb,so as to test drive the van,before heading home.The only problem we have found is that the reception on the tv has been awful,breaking up most of the time,making it virtualy unwatchable ! Weve tried both ariel sockets in the van and have the same issues on both.We went back to pb to report the problem and they gave us a new whip ariel and booster box to try,but results havnt improved. We are now home and once tried not only one tv,but two,the results are the same. Weve noticed that only the bbc channels are clear. The amplifier is a svensen ANPS 209. Has anyone had similar experience and know how to rectify this please ? Cool

    Hi everyone.

    ive just stumbled across this thread and realise it’s now somewhat dated, however I’d just like to add that I’ve solved the problem on our 2015 avante 540.

    ive considered buying a directional roof aerial and as a last option I tried a tv aerial booster from a well known Diy store.

    i bought some adapter plugs so that I didn’t cut any cables as the new box has coax connections.

    i disconnected the aerial from the caravan booster and connected it straight to the new box.

    Now have 103 channels.

    I think the new one is better as it has a 4G filter.
