Towing with a Golf Plus 1.6TDI

I have a Golf Plus with a 1.6TDI with 77Kw power and manual gearbox. The curb weight is 1446Kg and I am considering buying a Bailey Ranger 460/2 caravan which has a MTPLM of 1131kg. I know this is within the 85% recommended by the Caravan Club but would
like to know if anyone has experience of towing with the 1.6 TDI engine and would appreciate comments.
