Towing mirrors on Jeep Grand Cherokee

I have bought Milenco Aero flat mirrors for my car but am unable to work out how they attach, does anyone else have this problem or a photo i could look at.

The screw down bits do not seem to slide into the recess of the cars exsisting mirrors to get a good fix
