We were watching The Supervet program last night on channel 4 and were amazed at some of the things that can be done on all types of animals. Noel Fitzpatrick must be one of the best in this type of surgery. It was lovely to see so many people who love there pets so much.
I think we may have a poorly dog. For the last 10 days or so she has been a little lethargic and has refused to jump up to sit by us on the sofa (really unusual) - she cries to be picked up etc. Have taken her to the vets this morning who has little more idea than me. He's done a complete check and can't find anything…
i never realised what a hold my older dog had over the younger one until she died. I always did call her Little Dictator and her autocratic legacy extends beyond the grave. When she was alive, the old dog had total control over the food bowls and whichever one the boy was directed to by us, she decided that was her bowl…

Not sure that this is the best place for this question, but I'll start here. We are thinking of having a week at the Henley on Thames site in July, to let the kids visit legoland. We will have our dog with us on holiday but have heard the kennels at legoland are a bit grim. Our next option is to find a local dog sitter or…
Hi I have a well trained Gsd . and considering taking him to France but I am not sure what category he is . although not listed I think he maybe classed as 2 guard dog .

A trip to the vet was called for. Vet phoned a bit later to she she was all sorted & stitched up but a 'small part of her ear had to be removed.'…
Does anyone have advice for an older dog who is getting "caught short" first thing in the morning. Her mother had the same problem not being able to hold her pooh in the morning but was older. Mine is nearly 12 - and I am trying to cut down the evening meal to see if that works. I have fed main meal in the morning and a…
I've noticed that more and more people are coming in to my shop and asking for advice about theirs dog's allergies or skin problems , which I don't seem to remember that much of an issue with them (dogs) years ago , they just got fed table scraps and that's it ! Is the way we live now with more chemical cleaners etc…
We have decided to take Zach to Germany with us as he is a young dog, cycling the Moselle Valley area, we will be away for just under 3 weeks. Having worked out what it would have cost for him to stay in the kennels, well that saving has just about covered the cost of the channel tunnel crossing. Rabies jab done today for…
