Hi, Does anyone know of a SatNav or SatNav app which has an option to avoid unclassified roads? I know that some sat navs have an option to set the width, height and weight of your outfit but that doesn't prevent you being routed down a narrow unclassified single track lane which is a nightmare when towing a caravan. I…
First year with our Motorhome and loving it. The only stress we have is in journeys and trying to avoid sharp corners and narrow roads. We have thought about buying a Sat Nav specifically for motorhome / caravans but are seeing mixed reviews. We tried downloading CoPilot but it directed us down roads not suitable for over…
Are all CAMC serviced pitches the same layout and size? trying to determine what length of waste pipe and fresh water hose I need.
We have only a single Flogas butane bottle at the moment. The 'van is a 1994 Fleetwood so the pressure regulator is at the bottle, not on the bulkhead. I assume if we want to change to propane we just change the regulator for a propane one, by removing the butane one from the pipe and fitting a propane one instead?
‘We have a Xplore 554 that we bought new in November 2019. At its second service this year, the dealer advised that the inner pane of the single front window was dishing (bowing) outwards in the centre and that if it continued to dish to the outer edge and allowed water ingress, that the warranty would not be valid as we…
Hi All We will doing a short trip every 4-6 weeks over the Autumn/Winter season and don’t intend taking an awning. However was thinking about taking a small pop up tent to put muddy boots, etc in. Does anyone already do this, or have any other ideas we can use? Many thanks
Our ancient (1994) Colchester Fleetwood will be living on our drive over winter (unless we venture out somewhere). It has the mains hookup connected so I was wondering if putting a couple of oil-filled radiators in there to keep it from getting too chilly might be an idea - or is it just pointless and a waste of money and…
Hello everyone - although I've been a CC member for many years, I've never been on here before so forgive me if I'm posting the wrong sort of topic or in the wrong place. Im a recent MOT, my front offside tyre was posted as an advisory - so I fear it may well be a fail next time. The tyre is an Avon AV12 van 109/107S, one…
We have been caravanning since 1974 and consider ourselves fairly experienced. Having recently had an incident where a car was so close to the back of the van that I could not see it, I am interested to know if anyone has experience of fitting a wireless digital rear-view camera and monitor. If so, what unit do you have…
I wanted to share an experience that I've had with a recently purchased Garmin Camper780 SatNav. I have to quickly add that this is not the Caravan Club Specific Unit. However the problem I've encountered may be relevant. I initially found the SatNav to be everything the hype said it was. I was replacing a much used but…
