Seeing the other thread in this section on war graves reminds me of an incident in church many years ago that whilst a bit amusing at the time gives an idea how a simple thing can frighten children. We had gone to our Church at Charlton Musgrove (Old Village) Nr Wincanton, taking with us the 6 year old daughter of a…
Our Church has been asked to put up a plaque to denote that there are war graves - can anyone tell me what a plaque looks like and how big? The PCC has to agree its placement etc etc. I have in my mind that it might be like the blue ones found on houses that famous people lived in. Perhaps the size of a large dinner plate…

The Exeter for example, - Hero of the Battle of the River Plate, but later sunk by the Japanese, has all but gone in a…
My Energy contract is coming to an end shortly and I have been perusing some more Energy deals. Some companies I have never heard of ...example ' Bulb ' and ' ' Isupply ' to name a couple. I wondered if anyone had experience with these little known companies as they are the ones giving the most saving tariffs?
I am considering installing a wireless alarm in my home and was hoping someone will be able to recommend one to me and or what to look for when I purchase one. At the moment I am thinking of the Yale wireless premium GSM burglar alarm kit as sold by screwfix for £199-00. Any views on this one would also be appreciated.…
