This is an unusual place to find myself, in the Entertainment section, but I sat down with a coffee just after 2 pm today and watched a fascinating programme about this remarkable lady, under the auspice of Learning Online Broadcasting on BBC2. I knew about her history but anyone involved in Computing must regard her as…
Just finished binge watching the Mandalorian on Disney+. For anyone into Star Wars you will love it, especially the last few minutes of the last current series (two) when an old favourite returns in an amazing fight scene. Set just after the return of the Jedi.
A great drama base on true events. If you have not watched this you are missing a very good program. All episodes are on iPlayer, I'm up to episode 6 after watching the first two episodes live. peedee

For those of you that like foreign language TV series a new series of the gritty French police drama, Spiral, started last night on BBC4 https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0072wk9 The usual format on BBC 4 is to run two episodes one after the other each week. This has been a long running programme , this is series 8, and…
This three part series, which ended last night, was billed as the Christmas drama to watch. (probably the only drama to watch!!!) I do recall watching the old black and white film many years ago but didn't really recall much of the story. I like it when they show a short series over consecutive nights as you don't lose…
Anyone watching Andrew Marr's programme "New Elizabethans" ? It's an interesting take on the influential people of the current Queen's reign. It traces the history of the UK from the start of the Queens reign until now. Throws up some interesting characters, some well known others not so. David
Anyone else watching the excellent 3 episode day by day account by Dan Snow on Channel 5 of the run up to the raid. It brings back lots of memories for me. Tonight is the account of the raid itself. peedee
Did anyone see the BBC 4 programme this week about The Mayflower? During the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower arriving in America this year there have been quite a few events remembering the voyage. The programme, as in the title debunked a few myths. If I can, at some point, I'd like to see the exhibtion at The Box in…
