We are looking for suitable CL/CS type sites in the Scottish Borders area to give us access to Cheviots, Ettrick Forest & the Tweedsmuir Hills. We are aware that there are main sites for both clubs in this area but would prefer a smaller type site. Our main requirement for the sites would be hardstanding & electric. Any…
Hi All, I'm a keen CL user, frequenting this type of site far more than the caravan club sites themselves. In fact I was at one in Bognor just last week (although on their driveway rather than the field because there was so much flooding!). I much prefer sites where there is hookup, as it saves the issues of keeping a…
We've just been to two CLs over the last two weeks but was puzzled by numbers. When we arrived at the first CL there were already 6 caravans pitched on individual hard standings with another available for us. Additionally there were another two caravans arguably just outside what could have been considered the boundary of…
Can anyone recommend a very nice CL Site near coast (ie can walk from CL Site to coast/beach) or site on the coast of the South of England (ie Dover to Southampton areas)
Hi everyone, Although I have been a club member for almost 12 years, I have only used CL's a few times and not for about 6 years. We always use the sites and have been to many throughout the North of England and some further a field. I am wanting recommendations for good well kept cl's with ehu and welcomes dogs. We live…
Stayed here for 10 days. The CL is just outside Holt, North Norfolk and in one word OUTSTANDING. Hard standings, serviced pitches, plenty of room between pitches. Highly recommended.
I love reading reviews of CL sites. More than once we've decided to visit a particular area and stayed on some marvellous CLS as a result of reading a review on here. (In fact just read one for a CL in Essex which looks interesting.) But why do so few members appear to feel it's worthwhile writing a review? Some have only…
If anyone is thinking about going to Carfest North between 27th-29th July this year you'll be pleased to hear that the NEXT OPPORTUNITY to PURCHASE TICKETS will be Thursday 19th April. However, if you fancy the hectic'ness of Carfest by day, but would appreciate a rural retreat by night, we are only 20 minutes drive away…
Im currently staying on a great little CL, Mouse Cottage in Nottington, Dorset. It's a smashing little site with great facilities. When I arrived on Monday, I was sited on one of the two hardstandings the other one being occupied also. I feel so sorry for Emma and Craig, the owners as they have had to cancel all their…
We are thinking of visiting the area around Rutland Water some time this summer. I'm having difficulty finding any CLs or small sites nearby. Has anyone got any suggestions? Must accept dogs and preferably have EHU and at least a loo.
