Merry Christmas from Ian, Janet and James Kelly at Birch Hill Farm Caravan and Motorhome Club CL in Shropshire. We've had a remarkably busy year and have enjoyed welcoming hundreds of fellow Club members to Birch Hill, with February and October breaking all records for bookings. With help from Janet's parents, we've even…
I was in touch with a CL over the weekend to book a 7 night stay next May. Looked very good, toilet/shower, dog friendly, great reviews, ideal for where we wanted to stay and just £15 a night. Ideal for us I thought ...... .....until I had a reply saying, yes a pitch was available, please let us have the usual details and…
We have just returned from a wonderful 10 days on a lovely CL in the New Forest. This was exactly as all the reviews had stated, flat, peaceful, lovely owners and very well kept. We were surprised, however, by the remarks of one couple who were staying there who didn't like the CL one bit. They were complaining about the…
Is this up for discussion by EG? I have just been doing some research on www.ukcampsite.co.uk website for next year. On each and every one of the site details for a C.L. they state that "you can usually join on arrival" As far as I am aware this still isn't the case, but should be. Do they know something we don't?
hi all we are thinking of going to Cornwall next year my question is. is it ok to contact a CL site out of season to book ,say for next June any thoughts and advice please Roli
The CL of the year awards have been announced and Avon Bank Meadow is the winner. This CL is very reasonably priced at £10 and now being a winner will probably be booked up quickly for 2018, set, as it is alongside the Wyre Piddle river in Worcestershire, providing EHU, hardstanding, dog walking, WiFi and…
Hi looking for a good cl close to a village or town in Somerset, I got a dog so walking is needed and a local shop and pub would be nice. Many thanks
It would seem the Caravan Club and Motor Home club rules are not being adhered to when booking a C/L site. I have used C/L sites 4times this year and not one of those sites asked for my club membership number, either at the enquiry stage or when arriving on site. Is this leading to a situation where you need not be a club…
A few years since we visited the rather excellent Passage Farm, and after seeing some of the costs for 18 and 19 we are looking at CL's again. We've booked to go to Wortley Hall this Christmas and are looking at 1 on the outskirts of Shaftsbury and Combe Martin for 2019. Funnily enough the sites I'm now finding eye…
Hi I have the opportunity of buying a small (1/2 acre) parcel of land in Wales which would be suitable for a CL. I would propose to offer minimum facilities (as basically I wouldn't initially get permission for a toilet block at this stage), i.e. mains water and electricity. I would like to offer hard standings (but not…
