Re: What are you all up to
Car sailed through its service and MOT. Not very costly either, which was a bonus.
A few years ago we arrived home from a trip abroad with the caravan. After catching our breath Mother-in-Law asked us both to sit down as she had some news to tell us. Yikes, we thought. Solemnly she delivered the news drip by drip to announce that whilst we were away she decided to buy her own funeral plan and make all of her funeral arrangements including where to eat etc. We tentatively asked if she had a timeframe in mind. Oh, no time in the immediate future, more like 10 years or so! she replied. She thought it might be a good investment. Right, time for a cup of tea then.😁
Re: Campsite of the week: Brighton Club Campsite
I visited in the 90s cannot remember much about it but it obviously did not impress us that much because we have never been back.

Re: We need your help - Introducing Lizzie
so just had a little chat with Lizzie, generally it was very factual and when pushed she gave some fairly general information that focused more on the area of the campsites than the campsite themselves.
she couldn’t tell me if the site had serviced pitches but was abit to rattle off all the other types when I asked how many pitches there were on the campsite.
I rang back a second time and asked the same initial question and she gave the same campsites but in a very different style, which I actually preferred (she gave a quick location summery of the 3 sites she suggested)
I agree on the over use of my name, I get it’s trying to be personable, but as humans we don’t really use each others names quick as much in casual conversation.
The tone / sound of her voice changes quite a bit which again is a little off putting and a one point it was like a different “person” said one part of the sentence.
It was easy to use, and the information provided would help someone to understand the campsites available to them.
It might help if she’s suggesting 3 for the area, that she could say however there are (number) others in the area also available.
Lastly a rang to try another area, and sadly but rather humorously she got stuck trying to understand my request for the location Cotswolds.
she told me very emphatically the club don’t have a campsite called cockswells quite a few times.
🤭😂😂😂😂😂😂
Re: Event weekends - your feedback needed

Re: Event weekends - your feedback needed
I hope there will be a list of which sites may be used, as I can make sure I don’t book them
Re: Why is my Peugeot Boxer vehicle battery rapidly discharging?
Thank you all for the prompt comments. The battery is fairly new (just over a year). Coincidentally, the solar panel is not charging the batteries. A fault that I have a booked visit to a repairer to look at, at the end of January.
The thing of note for me is that when I disconnected that third lead on the busbar, the light went out so no drain, but the airbag warning came up on the dash.
I'll take a look at the Autosleeper owners area.

@nelliethehooker - between OH and myself we've worked out why the Pharmacy failed. OH picked up her mothers meds on 4th.November for 56 days except for 1 med where the Pharmacy only had 1 month supply so we returned around the 28th and picked up the balance. The member of staff has obviously made 2 errors, firstly moving the whole repeat back to 56 days from the 28th. November and secondly not marking the part order as having been collected making the system believe meds were waiting in the shop to be picked up. They're sorting an urgent prescription. We'll let the dust settle before deciding what to do. Personally, getting another link involved just means one more thing that could go wrong. We'll probably set it up online so that either of us can order at the right time and we'll get notification by text when its ready.
Bad bout of insomnia recently. I used to get this regularly before the Stroke but a benefit of the Stroke has been better sleep due to fatigue. Mind you I made the mistake of reading my results from the blood test late last night. Dare say that didn't help matters.
I thought we'd had a "Supercat" move in somewhere local looking at the deposit on our lawn this morning until OH pointed out that it was more likely to be "Supermole" 😂
Re: Driving licence 3.5t limit - gov't petition for increase of cat B to 4.2t
"Or are you one of those people who just enjoys challenging everything people post?"
Oooh, that’s a bit personal. 😱
What happened to debating the topic rather than the person?
Re: Driving licence 3.5t limit - gov't petition for increase of cat B to 4.2t
I have a licence to ride a small motorbike but I would like to have a licence to ride one a bit bigger.
It cant be harder to ride a slightly bigger bike and I promise not to go faster. But I don’t want to have training , , or another test, or a medical, or pay money, and I don’t want a three year licence, that would be tedious - I want a licence to last until I am 100.
So all I need is some clown to start a petition and get loads of signatures and the law will be changed for me. Or not
