What's going on?
@Rowena I have just attempted to post in the latest Red Pennant thread and got a flag saying my post would appear once it is approved. So much for being a 'Forum Participant Trusted' π€
Btw, something has happened at the top right of the page. Itβs a bit of a mess tbh.
Re: Disappointed !
weβve had the same so now take 2 knocky in things ( thatβs what the kids used to call them) and put them up to stop this, or put our chairs out so they canβt get through. Agree etiquette seems to have gone itβs called manners. Once had a guy in France walk right by outside our caravan door thought he was coming for tea.
Re: What are you all up to
I think my rather mischievous post on the "Disappointed" thread has come back to bite me on bum! As I have mentioned we no longer have a car so our drive is now always empty. It's a shared drive with our next door neighbour which causes no problems. They are away at the moment and they left one of their cars on their drive. The people next door to them decided park across both our drives today which I thought pretty rude? They were having new windows installed today so understandably needed space outside their own house but opposite there is a parking area with nothing parked in it. Or they could have parked on the road down the side of our house so why they parked where they did was something of a mystery. We were expecting a delivery that might have require access into our back garden from the driveway. Anyway he did move it when I asked him but seemed obivious that he had done anything wrong. Thats me off his Christmas Card list, although I don't think I was ever on it!

Re: Fuel
We have a 90 litre tank, and I usually fill brim-to-brim [1st or 2nd auto cut-off click]; I do a visual check of the mileage covered when the gauge drops to 3/4 full, and regard 140 miles covered as evidence that all is well. I try not to drop much below 1/2 tank before refilling, and if the gauge drops to1/4, I begin to panic! So, I regard my safe distance range as 400-420 miles, but look to refill at any point after 280-300 miles. But I do wear belt braces and sock suspenders - can't be too careful π

Re: What are you all up to
We're in the 'Sunny Kingdom of Fife' where everything is green β¦ And the spuds are plentiful . We rarely have to bother with suntan lotion, but WD40 is always in short supply, usually supplied for hip and knee joints that have rusted up β¦ π

Re: EU resident bringing caravan into the UK for retirement vacations
We have a German M/Home, registered in UK, so at least the front and rear registration plates match β¦ Other than that, I am thoroughly confused, and am wondering whether I should sell the M/Home and use the proceeds to pay for room in the Home for the terminally bewildered πI may be able to finance the move from my Pension, since it is likely to be short-term, or maybe it's just that I have lost the will to live after following this Thread through its tortuous journey π
