@milliehull it looks, from your grand photos, as if the weather was much better than forecast for you. Glad you are enjoying your stay at Heacham.
Hope that the day brightened up for you @DSB and you were able to get out somewhere.
More rain overnight for us although it was dry but cloudy this morning. OH took the opportunity to do another round of washing, caravan rugs this time, which we were able to get dried outside when we came back from our day out. We visited Clocaenog Forest and had a couple of walks, from the Bod Petryal car park. We did have a couple of short periods of drizzle when we were out but didn't really get wet. Bod Petryal means "rectangular dwelling" and is named after the old gamekeeper's cottage.
Re: Croatia
You mean you want someone on here to give you a weather forecast for Croatia two months ahead , based on what the weather was like in September several years ago when somebody else was there ? . Seems a big ask .
Just take the weather as it comes when you get there. You can’t change it. Have a good trip.
Re: What are you all up to
Beautiful weather this morning - lovely sunshine and a gentle breeze so we went to Hunstanton and had a walk along the seafront and then had a coffee and 'people watched' for a bit and watched the amphibious craft going out to sea. OH remarked that there weren't many people swimming, only paddling so I reminded him that when the tide is right out at Hunstanton the water only comes up to your shins 😁. It clouded over later in the day but only spits and spots of rain. OH now watching the football.
I heard that The Runtons near Cromer, especially West Runton were flooded in the deluge yesterday. I do hope people's homes weren't flooded.
Re: Using our caravan while on dialysis
Thank you both for your helpful replies. Once he has started his dialysis and hopefully this works for him, I will contact the clubs to see if it is possible to have boxes of fluid delivered if we are staying more than a few days. I’m expecting jt won’t be until next year, but If we do eventually go away in the caravan I will update on the practicalities of continuing to tour whilst on this type of dialysis.
I was NOT Expecting this from Mayday Green Flag ...
"We have been members with Green Flag- Mayday Caravan and Motorhome Club members for 3 Years + and in June 2025 we broke down on the Isle of Mull in our 2021 Ford Transit Autotrail F62 with 9900 miles on clock from New with full ford service history Green flag local garage on Mull was with us within 30 minutes of our call and Stuart diagnosed Injector number 3 so we stayed on our campsite the night and as promised we was recovered at 9am the next day to take us back on the ferry to the mainland where another recovery company took us and motorhome to there garage 45 miles and said a taxi was already booked for us to takes us another 40 miles to collect a green flag pre arranged Enterprise hire car waiting for us allowing us to drive back home to Leicestershire 400+ miles same day and the motorhome followed us on 1 truck all the way to our local Ford Garage a few days later, GREEN FLAG ORGANISED AND PAID FOR EVERYTHING Including taxi, recovery and New hire car for 2 days to get home. Thank you all at Green Flag. Ps Recovery man on Mull said if you was with the other 2 breakdown companies you would have had to PAY to get recovered of the Island before they recover you !"
Re: What are you all up to
Seeing as we're comparing Organs can I throw my tuppence worth in?
3 years ago we attended an Open Day at Howden-le-Wear in the North East to see this magnificent Wurlitzer and to have a look around the back at all of the pipes, plus we were given a 30 minute talk on how it was saved in the nick of time, had to be dismantled pipe by pipe and reconstructed back at its current location. Plus of course we had a grand demonstration of its powers. These Open Days in September are worth looking out for.
Sounds like you had a grand day @Francis. Norfolk seems to agree with you.
Re: What are you all up to
I think they do behind the scenes tours of their Christmas props and costumes all year @Wherenext .
Incidentally, the late ABM was a fan of Thursford.
