Re: Urgently need a caravan engineer near Bradford. Last guy not up to scratch.
It's a good few years since we used them but Wandahome Caravans in Knottingley had mobile engineers. A phone call will tell you if they still do.
Re: What are you all up to
Lovely flower photos @Takethedogalong including the of the house gardens, and of pooch too. Pleased that there was nothing untoward after all following your OH's scan.
I will keep my eyes open for more interesting trees during our travels for you @milliehull. Pleased that everything went ok at the funeral, and good that you were able to chat to people who you have not met for a while.
Good to hear that some of those that needed the rain have finally had some, but of course It is rather too late for most of the crops.
As no-one has supplied an answer to my photo "quiz" the other day, it was an RAF Bombing tower, actually a Quadrant Tower from the 1940's and 1950's when the valley which now contains Carsington Water was used for bombing practice. This tower, and a sister, now lost under the waters, were used to plot & triangulate the position of the "hits".
Re: View from my van window
The thunderclouds viewed from the van at Ebury Hill this afternoon.
Re: What are you all up to
Heavy rain here during the afternoon was bouncing off the ground there were a lot of vans came in at 1 and the people setting up must have got soaked. We spent the day at the van I watched the Tour de France then we cooked dinner on the Cadac as the sun came out around 6ish. Wandered down to club house and had a pint in the beer garden as it brightened up and was still 22 degrees. @nelliethehooker glad you had a good meet up with son and DIL
Hope everyone else had a nice weekend
Below is a pic of my pint on the beer garden the club house had ran out of Doom Bar (I must have drank it all over the past week lol)
Re: What are you all up to
We had rain overnight too, @Francis and @nelliethehooker. Glad you had a good family meet up, Nellie.
For us, a drive out to Portland today. A little on the dull side at Wareham after the rain overnight, but the weather brightened up for our visit. A nice hot drink and 'cream tea' in the cafe at Portland Bill, and as well as a good look around.

Re: What are you all up to
We too have had rain!
It rained through the night but was dry for most of the morning and thankfully it was quite refreshing, although warm still. Another walk from the van before lunch as we were waiting for son and DIL to arrive after lunch, Had a heavy shower just before they arrived but it stayed dry during their visit, so managed a dry walk with the dogs. Great to see them again and we had a good catchup. They headed home just before we had a prolonged thunderstorm and a heavy downpour, and then another shower half an hour ago, but it doesn't look as if has had much effect on the land.
The thunderclouds before the rain came.
Re: Reserving pitches
Why not ask those at HO who have devised this innovation, as we on here can only give you our personal opinion @jeben
Re: More CAMC app woes. Worrying indeed
@Cornersteady The only reason I keep it is to enable the saving of the digital membership card to Wallet.
