Re: Battery Offers
Final finished fitting the new battery yesterday. Access to my battery compartment is not easy and it took me two hours to remove the old one, a very heavy180APH AGM one and a half days work the following day to fit the new 200APH lithium one. It was charging ok on the solar panel but not yet checked it on mains or the alternator.

Re: What are you all up to
@takethedogalong We visited the museum at Moretonhampstead the last time we were in Devon 3 years ago (at your recommendation) was a great day out good museum and the owner gave us a guided tour I did read it has now closed down hope all the cars went to good homes. Also visited the one in Bourton when we were staying at Broadway a couple of years ago. Like you we had visited Mathewsons many times over the years before they were famous but we still go now although the garage in Thornton le Dale is basically just a gift shop now but we always visits when in the area and usually end up spending money in the shop also met Derek a few times and he’s always had time to stop and have a chat.
Re: What are you all up to
Some more super photos from both @DSB and @Francis glad you both are enjoying your selves. Hope everyone else are also having a good time this weekend.
It has been another fine day, very hot and stuffy at times too. We visited one of our favourite NT properties, Attingham Hall, where we always enjoy the woodland walk and through the estate.
This is the Repton Oak, planted in 1370, so is over 650 yrs old.
We came across another very interesting tree, an old Sweet Chestnut, when we were walking at Ilam Hall the other day, (but I was unable to post the photo then because of "essential maintenance "!!)
Re: What have you seen
Draining the water from the waste pipe at the rear of the Van today I noticed a very small flying insect on the bumper. It stayed there whilst I took a photo. OH narrowed it down to a Horsefly of the Tabanus genus. It's only about 2mm long so I was a bit surprised to find it was a Horsefly.
Re: What are you all up to
Excellent day here today I was up early and away a cycle by the time I got back it was heating up and by lunch time was 27 degrees. We spent the morning around the van then headed in to Sheringham for the afternoon lovely place lots of nice little shops and pubs. Went a walk along the shore front looking at the nice little beach huts all along there lots of people out swimming and on the beach enjoying the weather. Also had a wander around the train station think we will go on the heritage train next week at some point. We then took a table outside the Crown Inn and had a pint overlooking the sea Sheringham was great will try and get back there before we leave here. Cooked dinner on the Cadac and sat out enjoying the sun as weather is due to change overnight. Daughter Gdaughter and SIL have arrived in their camper to join us for the next week so won’t be relaxing as much but will be good spending time with them and we will be kept on our toes with gdaughter who has just turned 13. Not sure of plans for tomorrow will see what the weather brings.
@DSB great pics look is like you are having a good time
Hope everyone else has a nice weekend
Re: What are you all up to
Just catching up with all the posts. Lovely to see all the photos....
Went to Budleigh Salterton yesterday. A bit cooler temperature and a little cloudy, but managed to spend l time overlooking the sea....
Spent yesterday evening having a meal at the place where our youngest daughter is a chef.... and today we packed up and moved from Lutts Corner to Hunter's Moon, Wareham, for the last 'leg' of our first summer outing.... 😀

Re: Audi 2025 towbar electrics
I think it also shows that sales people haven't got a clue about the products they sell.
In recent years I've bought both a new car and a new caravan, and had educate 'sales' staff on what their products do and don't offer.
I thinks it pays to do as much research as possible before signing on the dotted line.
Re: What have you seen
Yesterday there were lots more butterflies, moths, bees and the odd dragonfly on the flowers along the sides of the old railway track that is now the High Peak Trail. This one managed to stay still enough to get a semi decent photo of it, a Dark Green Fritillary I think.
