Re: What have you seen
Draining the water from the waste pipe at the rear of the Van today I noticed a very small flying insect on the bumper. It stayed there whilst I took a photo. OH narrowed it down to a Horsefly of the Tabanus genus. It's only about 2mm long so I was a bit surprised to find it was a Horsefly.
Re: What are you all up to
Excellent day here today I was up early and away a cycle by the time I got back it was heating up and by lunch time was 27 degrees. We spent the morning around the van then headed in to Sheringham for the afternoon lovely place lots of nice little shops and pubs. Went a walk along the shore front looking at the nice little beach huts all along there lots of people out swimming and on the beach enjoying the weather. Also had a wander around the train station think we will go on the heritage train next week at some point. We then took a table outside the Crown Inn and had a pint overlooking the sea Sheringham was great will try and get back there before we leave here. Cooked dinner on the Cadac and sat out enjoying the sun as weather is due to change overnight. Daughter Gdaughter and SIL have arrived in their camper to join us for the next week so won’t be relaxing as much but will be good spending time with them and we will be kept on our toes with gdaughter who has just turned 13. Not sure of plans for tomorrow will see what the weather brings.
@DSB great pics look is like you are having a good time
Hope everyone else has a nice weekend
Re: What are you all up to
Just catching up with all the posts. Lovely to see all the photos....
Went to Budleigh Salterton yesterday. A bit cooler temperature and a little cloudy, but managed to spend l time overlooking the sea....
Spent yesterday evening having a meal at the place where our youngest daughter is a chef.... and today we packed up and moved from Lutts Corner to Hunter's Moon, Wareham, for the last 'leg' of our first summer outing.... 😀

Re: Audi 2025 towbar electrics
I think it also shows that sales people haven't got a clue about the products they sell.
In recent years I've bought both a new car and a new caravan, and had educate 'sales' staff on what their products do and don't offer.
I thinks it pays to do as much research as possible before signing on the dotted line.
Re: What have you seen
Yesterday there were lots more butterflies, moths, bees and the odd dragonfly on the flowers along the sides of the old railway track that is now the High Peak Trail. This one managed to stay still enough to get a semi decent photo of it, a Dark Green Fritillary I think.
Re: Audi 2025 towbar electrics
Sounds about right. Back in 2019 I ordered a factory fit towbar with fully functioning 13 pin electrics for my Audi A3. The car arrived with said fitment and very nice it looked. You can guess it can't you. The electrics not fully functioning though with no power to caravan battery or fridge.
In 2014 I'd hade a similar issue with a Skoda Yeti, but the dealer had fitted the "genuine Skoda" towbar.
In both cases The discussions had become heated with VAG,.

Re: Audi 2025 towbar electrics
memo to anyone else buying a new car. Have the main dealer fit the towbar and electrics ,and get it right , before you pay the outstanding balance and before you take it from his premises. Don’t take it home and then sub contract the job to someone else. I learned this lesson ten years ago.
Re: Audi 2025 towbar electrics
This issue has been highlighted on the Caravan Talk forum for months. The only way to get a towbar that functioned as designed by VW/Audi, is to have the car built with a factory bar specified, rather than selling you something that was already built and in stock somewhere. I guess thats why they are sorting the problem under warranty, as the salesman should not have said the things he did regarding aftermarket towbar fitment.
Re: Dealings with Sargent
I take it you mean this is for a Sargent tracker, when my alarm kept initiating at an unearthly hour, they couldn't of been more helpful.
I can guess it must be frustrating for you,but if ir's in the terms and conditions there's not a lot you can do.
Re: What are you all up to
Great day out today very warm and mostly sunny. Went to Sandringham a place we have always wanted to go to we had visited Balmoral a few years ago and always wanted to do sandringham. Ended up there most of the day done the tour of the house was great to see some of the rooms and the dining room where the family have Christmas dinner even saw the Kings char complete with his favourite cushion. The staff within the house were very helpful and knowledgable about the rooms and the items within them. After a walk round the grounds and the maze we done (the walk) that the family do on Christmas Day and visited the church. This part was a highlight for me as we watch them each Christmas morning attending church so was great to see this in real life. Great place would go back if ever back in this area and the gardens are beautiful. Also saw some of the cars the family have used over the years. Picked up fish and chips on way back to the van. Now just relaxing for a while but may venture down to the club house later for a pint
