Re: Tour de France 2025
@SteveL depends what you read, Guardian has had daily coverage, although calling MVP “Belgian” won’t have gone unnoticed. There’s lots of coverage in cycling press. For anyone who loves all the ins and outs, who started, who didn’t finish, who came where, how long will a rider be out injured, etc……then ProCyclingStats.com website has it all. Just beware of logging in while a race or stage is on as it’s updated immediately.
Re: Tour de France 2025
Many years ago on our very first trip to France with the caravan we chose the Municipal site at Le Blanc to stay at. Fortunately we arrived at lunchtime in early May and the place was a right old tip so we found an alternative. Obviously, as we later learned, the workers hadn't started their Spring clean, a typical thing that seemed to happen with Municipals that had only just opened up for the season. We did return to the site once in future years and it was fine. Always good to follow the TdF around France as it brings back so many memories.
Re: Tour de France 2025
I record here and watch as and when yes a good day yesterday and the scenery was great as well could do with the lens the helicopter camera operator has to get so close to Puy de Dome wow.
Rest day today and then back to it tomorrow.
Was looking at Sundays recording and thought I know that fire station and then waited for the Aire to appear on the right and it was the road from Le Blanc to Azay le Ferron where they all turned right at the roundabout been on that road many times to Obterre.
Re: Tour de France 2025
Wow, what a day yesterday in the "mountains" (big for me not for the climbers though).
I assume everyone knows the result. Great effort from both Healey and Yates, both of them well chuffed at the end of the day.
Re: Alko ATC Sequence problem
Update
Well it was the LED.I have made up a test LED setup with a 2w led and a resistor,|I have removed the defective one and the hardest part was removing the old resin from the LED holder.I have not refitted it yet and I will have a 50% guess rate that the LED is around the correct way.It is on crimps so can easily swap around.
One interesting point is If you have the newer black box system ,it doesn't go through the "longer" pre start test as in my other vans, which is why I didn't think it was the LED.
I have the instructions if anyone requires.
Re: How to post photos on new discussion
@hostahousey I transitioned to “non member” last year, still showed up as a Member for a while, but then became a “trusted participant”. It’s done for Forum safety, there have been a couple of occasions where not very nice photos have appeared, dealt with promptly, but the Club are rightly being very wary. Not everyone who stops posting leaves because they want to, if you get my drift😉 And it’s not uncommon for the odd poster to re appear under a different name. So, sure Rowena will sort this out for you, it only took a couple of days for me.
Re: What are you all up to
@Goldie146 what a fantastic venture. I wish you all the best with it, the kind of thing we look out for when out and about. Thanks for sharing as well, can fully understand the need to keep things low key at the moment.
Re: What are you all up to
We have always wanted to show where our milk comes from. We've been organic for over 20 years and have sold our milk to organic milk companies - currently to Organic Herd . But then it becomes part of a generic organic milk pool. We decided to get closer to the customer and show the background of our farm. Not just organic, but produced in a very nature friendly way. See
Some of our milk will still be going to Organic Herd, but some elsewhere. I can't say too much at the moment. Including local catering businesses. And probably locals. Building up slowly.
The label will include brief details about the milk and us, plus a QR code for more information. All beautifully designed by my daughter-in-law. We have a website and Instagram account which will give updates. Sorry if this is advertising!
