Unfortunately back home
Hello friends, now that our fantastic vacation in England is behind us, I want to briefly report on how it went for us. In short, our vacation didn't go as planned; my wife had a hand in it. So, on June 15th, we traveled to the beautiful island with P&O, staying two nights with friends: once in Whitfield near Dover and the second night in Rushden, also with very good friends. So far, my plan worked. But then, from Rushden, we headed roughly towards Southampton in the New Forest. The small, beautiful town was called Brockenhurst, where we ended up at a campsite in the middle of the forest. And that's where our time as caravan campers resurfaced. We stayed there and explored the area every day with our bikes and dog trailer. What can I say? I've never seen such wonderful scenery. My wife, who didn't know England at all, was totally hooked. The campervan was borrowed from our son, simply to test it out for us. Well, we've been back home for a good week and a half, and what can I say? We've now bought our own brand-new campervan and will definitely be traveling to England again soon. There's still so much for us to explore on this beautiful island. We've also met some truly fantastic people along the way, with whom we'll stay in touch. Of course, I'm also considering permanent membership in the club. It'll definitely pay off for us in the long run. So, that's it for now, and I'd love to run into some of you sometime soon. As always, please excuse my not-so-good English. I'm working on it. We may not be away, but we’ve still got views! As well as our main farm we have some land up near Killington Service Station on the M6. I believe you can see the lake from there. And maybe our heifers across the other side.
And back down home in the new dairy - a highly complicated piece of kit.

It has been quite cloudy at times today, but when the sun did appear it was nearly as warm as yesterday. We had another walk by the Reservoir this morning, and I a second one down to the Wildlife Hide and onto the Dam. Quite a few units have left the site and there are now only 18 here tonight. The nights do seem to be drawing in rather quickly now.

We had a wonderful time at our eldest grand-daughter's birthday BBQ. It was a pleasant afternoon for being outside in the garden - hazy cloud and a bit of a breeze. Her partner used to live in Australia so he is an expert at BBQs! Our daughter made a wonderful birthday cake for her 'big girl'

Oddly enough @Francis I've just had a pint of Doom Bar here at Globe Vale Holiday Park, Redruth. Thought I'd better have a pint before
moving on to Putfs Corner CAMC site tomorrow.
We've had some cloud here today and one or two little spots of rain 'in the air'.... I don't think enough to worry about though.
We've been across to the Roseland Peninsular today and have been to the beach at Porthluney neat Caerhays. The roads are a bit narrow getting there, but we usually have no trouble at all parking, and there's a beach cafe too... fine for a drink and a pastie....
Carsington is looking a bit low @nelliethehooker.... thanks for the photos.. lovely.... the last time we went up to Derbyshire, before Christmas, we stopped at the recently aquired Lickpenny CAMC site, which we really liked. Enjoy your travels, Nellie and others too.

Well we have arrived in Norfolk. Left home late on Friday afternoon and stayed at our regular CL at Longtown very warm but had the air con on in the car so not too bad just a bit warm for setting up. Left there yesterday morning again roasting but once in the car the air con done it’s job and we had a comfortable 2 and a half hour drive down to the club site at poolsbrook country park a site we had never been to before but it seems there is a lot to do in the area and the site seems nice so we may return only slight negative was when leaving there this morning caught out jockey wheel on the large speed bump on the way out and it has pushed a hole in the plastic casing over the hitch on the van it’s a large bump and as we went over (very slowly) we heard a crunch and that’s what it was anyway wouldn’t let it stop us going back. Left there this morning and came in to Norfolk which all in took us just over 3 hours to site. We have never been to Norfolk before probably the only part of the UK we haven’t been to so I was a bit worried about the road in but it was fine not as good as the motorways but still not too bad just a bit slower than what we are used to. Arrive here just before two and got everything set up including the awning as we are here for a couple of weeks. Very warm but a bit cloudy so after setting up we headed down to the on site bar and had a drink then decided to stay for a meal which was excellent. Back at the van now planning what to do when we are here looks like there is plenty to do
