It's just down the road from us really, a half an hour's drive from the city of Norwich but Seacroft in Cromer is like being abroad if you catch it on a sunny day, which, I don't know if we're just lucky or what, but it always seems to be when we visit!
We like to be close to home as camping with four children means a lot of stuff to take but Cromer has everything we need as a resort and the site is just perfect. I've been staying at Seacroft since I was a new baby, my Mum tok me to visit my Grandparent's who lived in Kent but discovered the site and it made their minds up to retire in the area. I would then go with my Mum, in our little Sprite caravan, at Easter, summer, whenever we could during the school holidays. Then, at 16, my best friend Evie and I had our first solo trip in a two man tent when we enjoyed the nightlife of Cromer come dusk (the Pit nightclub was a sticky floored winner) and by day we basked around the pool.
And aside from the clubbing, not much has changed about wanting to stay at Seacroft, Only, these days, I take my own children and they love the pool (which is always warm) as much as I did as a child. There's a deep end and shallow, as well as a toddler paddling pool making it perfect for all ages and there's always a life guard on duty too. The club house is great, serves nice food and the little play area is brilliant too. But the facilities make it so easy with a family. Clean, showers and toilets with hair dryers and even a family room with a little bath make it so easy. They don't offer electric pitches for tents these days which is a shame but it's totally do-able without because of the facilities block. We love Seacroft and will, of course, be back again, again, again!
