Longleat Club Campsite is one of our favourite! Love hearing the sea lions when I'm sitting on our pitch! We always visit Wookey Hole when we stay there too as love the caves. 😀

Seacroft has everything you need as a family, even with non-electric pitches for the tents. Because the facilities block is so great, and there's a little shed where you can charge stuff for free, you don't miss the electric hook up at all. And it's the most idyllic spot!

Location: A ten minute stroll from the centre of Cromer this site is just out of the hustle and bustle but still within reach of everything from fish and chips (join the local argument as to which is best, stalwart Mary Jane's or relative newcomer No 1? I'll let you into a secret, they're both amazing so pick the shortest queue) to a pint in one of the many, lovely pubs (always recommend the Welly and the Red Lion). And there's much to do in Cromer from the pier where you can go crabbing, to the town centre with lots of shops both independent and chains. The church has a fun tower you can climb for panoramic views, there are three really great museums which are either free or very cheap and super interesting, and the restaurants and cafes are really ace too (recommend The Rocket House above the Henry Blogg Museum). Cromer is vibrant and thriving town with a glorious beach that stretches for miles and is VERY Instagrammable. It is also home to Glide Surf school which my eldest has had lessons with since she was 8!

Site: I've been visiting Seacroft since I was born (so 45 years) and it's as lovely now as it always has been. I'm so glad my children get to enjoy it just as much as I did when I was their age. The biggest draw in the warm swimming pool which has shallow, deep and paddling areas with lots of places to sit and lie in the sun around it. The showers and toilet block are pristine and very inviting, as is the washing up block and there's even a family room with a small bath which is very helpful with toddlers. There is no electric hook up for tents as mentioned and you're at the front of the site if you are under canvas but this has never been a problem for us. The road is very quiet, you can hear (and see) the sea from where the tents are, and it's right by a lovely play ground. There's also a bar and club house which is friendly and inviting!

Things to note: You can drive your car to the pitch to put your tent up but then you have to move it to a little car park right next to the camping area, this is fine and you can see your car from wherever you are pitched. The pitches are big and everyone has a lot of room.
