Can't update profile photo

Just trying to change my profile photo to something caravan related.  I am uploading a Jpg and I'm getting the message it failed because of the file format, yet tells me that jpg is an acceptable format.

Any ideas?

    Me too, tells me it is the wrong format which it isn't, tried 'png', tried 'bmp', tried reducing size also, tried loading it into 'Paint' and re-saving as jpeg again but it's a no -goer.

    Never mind it's not the end of the world.

    I can change my avatar on our Mac Book, but not on my iPad. This website doesn't cope well with Apple devices, full stop!

    I haven't changed mine for months ET, I suspect things may not work. There do seem to be lots of folks with blank avatars at the moment.

    I was going to upload a Scrouge Avatar followed yb a Father Christmas one mid December but the site would not let me. .

    Changing any details of your profile isn't any easier, either, and if you become a non-member it doesn't update automatically when your membership isn't renewed!  I had to ask for my status to be changed (and it was).

    But, beware of uploading any old image - it may just stick there forever, and that's how people will remember you.  There are an awful lot of plain black faces on here at the moment. I'm sure they once had a picture.

    just tried again to upload a new profile image using my old desktop (ipads a waste of time!, but kept hetting a mesage suggesting my image wasnt a JPG.....its a JPEG which I thought (wrongly?) was a synonym?

    anyway, found a conversion program, seemed to run successfully, but this 'converted' file also failed for the same reason.....frown

    given up yet again....

    Perhaps if we ask nicely, everyone with a profile photo could delete theirs just so we don't feel left out frown

    This evening profile photos seem to be appearing and disappearing randomly. Mine went for a while, then reapppeared. What is happening with this site? Checked on another device and the same thing was happening.
