Why has my 'for sale ' ad been removed?

Dear All,Due to my husbands ill health, we have had to make the regretable decision to sell our beloved motorhome. To start with I posted my ad about 6 weeks ago and it duly appeared on the website and on the Caravans for Sale site. Last week I checked the ad and it had gone from the listing. I relisted and checked that it should be on the website for 90 days. Last night I checked again and once again its not there!

i will ring the classified section on monday, but meanwhile does anyone have any ideas or reasons why my ad is no longer live before I waste my time relisting for the third time.

P.S. I have advertised in other media/ magazines.

Many Thanks in advance

Firstly sorry to learn of your husband's ill health. I am pretty sure the classified advertisements are run by a third party on behalf of the Club. I would certainly agree that you should ring them first before resubmitting. Let us know how you get on.

I'm also sorry to hear that you're having to sell up because of your husband's poor health.

Have you put an advert on the UK Campsites website classifieds?  Things seem to sell quickly from there, and we've had great success in selling various things, including a caravan.

Is there possibly anything about your ad which the site might see as a scam?  Sometimes ads are taken down because there is something in them which sets alarm bells ringing.

Thanks, yes, will ring on monday and let you know the outcome. Thanks too to ValDa, I have just listed our motorhome on UK Campsites. I forgot all about that site and am a registered user, was a simple process.

Keep on motorhoming. Its torture seeing our van in the driveway and not able to go anywhere.

I know just how devastating it must be.......... but hopefully someone will treasure your van and get just as much pleasure from it as you did.

Our friends have just bought a campervan, from other friends who were having to give up.  The friend selling had lost most of his vision and is no longer able to drive, his wife doesn't drive due to previous sight loss, and they've only really had two holidays in their new campervan.  However, we were able to introduce our other friends, who wanted a campervan, and a deal was agreed and they went off in it for the first time this week and had a brilliant time.

Do let us know when your van is sold.
