Return from Rotterdam with P&O

We left the UK five weeks ago on a tour of five countries. It's been a hectic five weeks as we moved on to different campsites every one or two days and there was a lot of driving but we managed it and had a wonderful time, seeing countries that we've never visited before, meeting people and seeing amazing sights along the way.
Our tour ended with a return ferry from Rotterdam to Hull, the reverse of the route we took back on Monday 25th July. We boarded the ferry on Monday evening and were actually the last to drive on...so yep you guessed it, one of the first off! The boat, Pride of Hull, was the same one that we came on so we were able to navigate ourselves around it quite quickly. After finding our cabin, a clean four-berth room with a window view, we left our bag and headed to the restaurant, serving a buffet selection of world foods; ideal for a family of four with different tastes! We'd eaten little during the day so the food was a satisfying end to the day.
Before returning to the cabin, we stopped in the bar to listen to the entertainment. There was a pianist playing upstairs in the Sunloungers Bar and a groups of singers and dancers in the main bar. It was late so we didn't stay long but there were many passengers sitting, watching and listening to the entertainment.
Most of the journey was spent sleeping but we woke in time to get a quick breakfast before disembarking. We could see the sun rising outside of our window the Hull docklands coming into view. The main restaurant served a wide variety of breakfast foods, including a cooked breakfast, cereals, fruit, cheese and ham. It opened at 6am, an hour before arrival. We were up and dressed quickly and therefore avoided the inevitable queues. After a filling meal, it wasn't long until the ferry docked and we were back on English soil again (remembering to drive on the left!).
