"This is my favourite site so far!" shouted Ella as she dashed off into the woods exploring. This is within minutes of arriving. Rather than write our family in:site into the Borrowdale site, I thought it might be better if Ella explained her thoughts instead:

Borrowdale Caravan Club site is my favourite site. It is eleven acres and only has sixty pitches. The rest is woodland. There are two separate parts of the site. One with easy access to the lake and one with easy access to the woodland. With names for corners and sections like Catballs and Squirrels Leap, this site is amazing just like the kingfishers, red squirrels and woodpeckers you can see. Wildlife is everywhere on the bird / red squirrel tables and in the trees. You can even buy food to give them.

Also this site is near Keswick so if you need anything, it isn't far to travel. You can access Cat Bells, a local mountain that is easy to climb, actually from the site.

At Borrowdale I fell in love with trail running. I went off running while everyone set up and I knew the woodland off by heart when I got back. I fell in love it and the next day went running with my dad. This site encourages kids to build dens and explore. Many families used to come to the site..... but now not so many visit just because there is no toilet block. What about the caravan shower and toilet? That's why you have them. It's a shame really. Kids that don't come are seriously missing out, on paddling in the lake five minutes walk away from the site, on den building, on wildlife that you can watch out of your front window and on exploring - which is what Borrowdale Caravan site offers. I loved Borrowdale and so I hope other kids get a chance to love it just like me.
