you have done, or seen, whilst on site. You know, where you say 'I hope nobody saw that'

Mine is getting the leg of my shorts caught in the handbrake when leaving the motorhome. Not the prettiest of exits, wife thought it was very funny.

    Some time ago we were wild camping in the Western Isles of Scotland, next to a stream and a little way off the road. We hadn't seen a soul all night such was it's remoteness. In the morning I stepped out of the van just as a car went past that proceded to
    honk the horn. It was probably due to the fact that I was completly naked!. There's not a lot you can do in that situation so I just waved back.

    On one occassion we had hooked up just before leaving a site. I went back to check all was in order and got in the back seat of the car instead of the front.

    Two women were walking past and quick as a flash one said "should have gone to specsavers".

    We watched a guy moving his MH round with the electric cable still plugged in. Not far and in no way dangerous. Backwards and forwards turning slightly this way and that. Then all of a sudden he shot off down the path. I shouted and he stopped just before he took up the slack. In very good English he explained that he did not like the pitch he had been given and had just seen someone drive off so he was going to have theirs instead. At that point he forgot about the cable

    The other one was the guy who arrived on site with his caravan. Started getting bits out and 2 1/2  hours later he was still putting it all together and by then it was rather dark.

    The chap with his satalite dish. Guy lines, repositioning, more adjusting, more moving. This went on for well over an hour. He then packed it all up chucked it under the caravan. I saw him later and asked if he had got a picture. Aparently yes just as the match finished with the score on the screen

    Way  back  in  tyme,  when  I  was  on  my  very  first  Campervan  holiday  in  the  old  bay-window  VW,  camping  site  right  by  Buckfast  Abbey  Got  up,  scrubbed  up  and  fed,  disconnected  the  awning  then  drove  off  to  enjoy  the  day  covered  about  200  yards  before  I  realised  The  Elevating  Roof  Was  Still  Up ! Embarassed

    Next  morning  a  very  chastened  Brian  went  very  carefully  round  to  ensure  every  thing  was  safely  fastened  down,  hopped  into  the  driving  seat,  and  drove  straight  over  a  very  full  waste  bucket !EmbarassedEmbarassed

    The  next  day  I  just  had  my  breakfast  and,  and,  and ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,,  went  back  to  bed !!

    {  Any  more  recent  or  more  shocking  incidents  are  just  for  me  to  be  utterly  embarrassed  over  so  there  !  }
