An outsider's perception of the Caravan Club

A friend of mine recently bought her first caravan and I popped in to see her earlier this week.

I asked if she had booked her first outing and she told me that she had shortlisted several sites for a long weekend later this month.

"Have you joined the Caravan Club?" I asked.

"No" she replied.  "But I have joined the Camping and Caravanning Club".

I asked her why she had chosen the C&CC and she told me that it stemmed from the Manchester show at Event City.  She went to the Caravan Club stand and noticed that everyone was dressed like "air hostesses" and she didn't feel comfortable but at the C&CC
stand they were dressed in fleeces and cargo pants and were altogether more welcoming.  She also said she noticed that the Caravan Club bumph didn't seem to feature many children, whereas the C&CC brochures were full of children and animals.

Now I couldn't say whether I agree with any of what she told me because I haven't noticed to be honest but it's a concern wouldn't you say?
