No need to bite, Tinwheeler. I need to get ready for work soon and that's going to curtail my posting on here because I simply won't have the time! Enjoy the rest of your day!

You know it's spring when the farmers take the muck out. not so keen on mole catching though, but needs must in agricultural life.

Only you can decide what to do. We have no regrets to retiring early and before the retiring age due to health problems, and we do manage, you get to know what is important. We now use more basic CL's in order to be able to be away more often. When you do decide you will be counting down the days to 2020.

Goldie, great that work going on apace but not sure about the molessurprised

6 mile walk along Titchwell beach 🏖 interestingly the beach was covered with shell fish, star fish, small fish etc thrown up as a result of the beast from the East.

I have decided that I will not be posting further on this thread for the foreseeable futurefrown😪🤧

There are moles and there are moles. wink

I rarely even read this thread for similar reasons, One. I must be at a loose end at the moment.

Interesting evening last night.  The automatic gearbox 'went' on the Discovery... ouch!  Booked in for the gearbox specialist to have a look on Monday.  Cancelled our caravan outing to Cornwall on Sunday (No towcar), and all other takeaway meals for the remainder of the next two decades.

What a nuisance David. Sorry you've had to cancel the break. Our car is in today, we kept getting tyre warnings, nothing was wrong with the tyres, a sensor problem needed fixing. I felt very car less today!

The site (one we use often) has just changed the date of our booking to our requested dates in April - hopefully it'll all be sorted by then.  I've already paid the site so I have nothing else to pay - No penalty.  We've even got the same (our favourite) pitch.

Hope they sort out your sensor, Brue.

If we weren't without water and with wet carpets, we'd offer you a room at the inn, David. As it is, things are a bit fraught at the moment! wink

Let us know when you're down in April. smile

Not good news, hope it can be quickly fixed. We had to have the flywheel done last year, luckily it was under warranty.

Afternoon has turned wet and miserable, so have the fire on and watched tv. If it wasn't for the antibiotics I would have had some Baileys.

We've had a lovely day walking around Ambleside and Bowness. Just having a couple of days staying in a hotel in the Lakes for a change. The hotel has its own microbrewery so we're off to the bar to try out the local ales. 🍺 Cheers everybody. Have a nice evening. 🙂

Not sure I agree with TW's assessment of retirement. Instead of one person giving you jobs to do it's about twenty and the pay scale is absolute rubbish.

My OH has been doing the same thing HD . Working out if it's possible to retire in a couple of years time. He has been talking to the pensions guy, he didn't recommend selling up and living in the caravan either.😉😉

Picked up MrsWN's car today. Pure co-incidence that it's our wedding anniversary. Would hate to set a precedent having avoided presents for nigh on 40 years.

We've both had a lovely day spent billing and cooing at each other.kiss

Weather not too bad up here! Went for drive to check the van at the storage and saw our first lambs of spring. always a good sign!

Me I finish my course of antibiotics tonight so I can have a beer tomorrow! Had toothache during the Beast of the East when I couldn't get out the street let alone visit the dentist!
