EES HARWHICH to HOOK OF HOLLAND Ferry

How does this work ? we are going to Europe for the first time with our new motorhome…and first time using a ferry to europe for over 25 years… Do we have to book in earlier at the ferry terminal ?

    I have a 9:00am Harwich to Hook of Holland crossing booked for mid May. It will be my first since EES came into effect.

    My crossing confirmation states "Check in no later than 60 minutes prior to departure time." and I have heard no different.

    I am aiming to arrive 2 hrs before, to be on the safe side, although partly because I'm travelling overnight from the Devon/Cornwall border.

    I think and I may be wrong but the EES checks will be done on arrival in Holland.
